Terms and Conditions

Last updated: November 4, 2026

These terms apply when you use Bodo Bodo at bodobodo.app. By creating an account or signing in, you agree to them. How we handle your personal data is explained separately in our privacy policy.

Read the privacy policy

The service

Bodo Bodo is a free tool for tracking the mileage of your running shoes. It is operated by Mohammadali Jafarian, an individual. “We” and “us” in these terms refer to the operator.

For any question about these terms, write to [email protected].

Your account

You must be at least 16 to use Bodo Bodo.

Keep your sign-in details safe and your email address up to date. You are responsible for activity in your account unless it happened through no fault of your own, so tell us if you think someone else has used it.

A free service

Bodo Bodo is free: there's no subscription and no trial period. If we ever add paid features, we will tell you the price first, and you will only pay if you choose to.

Acceptable use

When using Bodo Bodo, you must not:

  • break the law or infringe anyone else's rights;

  • upload photos or other content that is illegal or that you have no right to use;

  • try to access other people's accounts or data, or get around the service's security or limits;

  • overload, disrupt or scrape the service, or use automated tools in a way that harms it.

Your content

Your shoes, activities and photos remain yours. You allow us to store, process and show them only as far as we need to run the service for you.

This permission ends when you delete the content or your account. Copies in backups can remain for a limited time, as the privacy policy explains. You can export your shoes, activities and photos in Settings.

Not health or safety advice

Mileage and replacement figures are estimates based on what you enter. They aren't medical, training or safety advice, and they don't tell you whether a shoe is safe to run in. How and when you run is your own decision and at your own risk. If you have pain or an injury, talk to a professional.

No guarantees

We provide Bodo Bodo as it is and as available. It is free and run by one person, so we can't promise that it will always be available or free of errors, that figures will be accurate, or that data will never be lost. Keep your own copy of anything important.

Liability

We are fully liable for damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, under the German Product Liability Act, and wherever else the law doesn't allow liability to be excluded or limited.

If we breach through slight negligence an obligation that is essential to providing the service, our liability is limited to the foreseeable damage typical for a service of this kind. Otherwise, we are not liable for slight negligence, including for lost data.

Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that can't be waived.

Ending your account or the service

You can delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, or if we need to in order to protect the service or other people. Where reasonable, we will tell you first and give you the chance to export your data.

We may change Bodo Bodo or shut it down. Before shutting it down, we will give you reasonable notice by email or in the app so that you can export your data.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when the service or the law changes, and we will change the date at the top of this page. We will tell you about significant changes in advance, such as in the app or by email. If you don't agree with a change, you can stop using Bodo Bodo and delete your account before it takes effect.

Governing law and final provisions

These terms are governed by the law of the Federal Republic of Germany. If you use Bodo Bodo as a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory law of the country where you live and can bring a claim in its courts.

Where the law allows an agreement on jurisdiction, the courts of Germany have jurisdiction.

If part of these terms is invalid, the rest stays in force.

These terms are available in several languages. If versions differ, the English version prevails unless the law requires otherwise.
